Dr. Thomas Carr earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology before attending podiatric medical school at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated in 1988, receiving his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Carr then completed a 3 year Reconstructive Surgery Residency at Lakeside Hospital & Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Carr is certified in CO2 laser surgery and foot and ankle arthroscopic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, American Podiatric Medical Association, Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Diabetes Association.
